Mian Altaf Ahmad, Member J&K Legislative Assembly from Kangan and Chairman Public Accounts Committee of the State Legislature called on Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here today.Mian Altaf discussed with the Governor various matters arising from the prolonged disturbances in the Valley and the need for speeding up developmental works, to secure time bound completion of important projects and programmes.While appreciating Mian Altaf’s concerns about the well being of people of his area, Governor urged him to continue sustained efforts for the cause of upliftment of the economically backward population and also work for ensuing maximum participation in the forthcoming Panchayat elections.
