At least 33 soldiers were killed and more than 40 others injured when a suicide bomber targeted a military base near Aden's airport on Saturday."A suicide attacker targeted dozens of pro-government soldiers who gathered to receive their delayed salaries inside the Sulban military base near Aden's airport," Xinhua quoted a local security source as saying.Initial reports indicate that at least 33 newly-trained soldiers were killed and more than 40 others injured in the suicide bombing that struck Saudi-backed Yemeni soldiers in Aden.Witnesses confirmed that "a huge explosion struck the military base while hundreds of soldiers were standing in long queues to meet a military committee in the area."An intelligence source said that "a suicide bomber apparently disguised with military uniform blew himself up among scores of soldiers who lined up around the base without any protection."Many ambulances were dispatched to the scene after the suicide blast and heavy armoured vehicles arrived in the scene.The southern port city of Aden is the headquarters of Yemen's internationally-backed President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi and his government.
