Online Advt Portal: DIPR organizes training for newspaper representatives

Department of Information and Public Relations today conducted an orientation programme for the representatives of empanelled newspapers regarding the use of new e-system put in place for distribution of government advertisements.Representatives of   60 newspapers   from Jammu attended the programme where they were informed about the new online portal started by DIPR for online distribution of government advertisements.Joint Director Information Jammu, Mr T R Sharma while speaking on the occasion said the Department has created a dedicated online domain for the advertisement distribution which can be logged on at www.jkinformationadvt.in newspapers already issued the dedicated login ID by the Department.Giving details of the new system, Mr Sharma said all the empanelled newspapers and the periodicals in the State have been given a dedicated password by the Department to login the online advertisement distribution portal and download the government advertisements allocated to the said newspaper/periodical for publication on a given day. He said the newspaper/periodical besides acknowledging the receipt of the advertisement online shall also have to upload the e-copy of the newspaper/periodical as and when the advertisement is published in it. “The online system will not only help the Department to ensure maximum transparency in the distribution of advertisements but it will also help create a digital database of the advertisements released for publication so that any information regarding government advertisements is readily available for ready reference,” he said.Pertinently, the online advertisement portal of the DIPR was formally launched by the Director Information, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary in Srinagar on 7 September 2016.The representatives of the newspapers hailed the Department for shifting to online advertisement distribution.
