Slamming the three BJP-ruled municipal corporations in Delhi for their alleged failure to keep the metropolis clean and pollution-free, the AAP said on Saturday that the people "will not tolerate corrupt and inefficient" local bodies.Addressing a press conference here, Aam Aadmi Party's Delhi convener Dilip Pandey said the three Municipal Corporations of Delhi (MCDs) and the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) under the Centre do not even take the High Court seriously."The court was absolutely correct in saying on Friday that if they cannot manage the landfill sites in Delhi, what is the use of having the MCDs and DDA at all?" Pandey said.He said those responsible for running these civic bodies are not ready to mend their ways and are playing with the lives of Delhi residents despite a rap on countless occasions by the Delhi High Court."People of Delhi will no longer tolerate the inefficiency and incompetence of the BJP- ruled MCDs and the DDA for their monumental failure in keeping Delhi clean and pollution-free," Pandey said.He asked the BJP if they have any roadmap for improving their performance."Why do the MCDs want to keep Delhi dirty and polluted? Is it their basic governance model? Are the MCDs not ashamed of being known as the Most Corrupt Departments in the world?""Why should Delhi get a bad name due to corrupt and inefficient MCDs, which are in a state of financial and operational collapse?" the AAP leader said.
