A kashmiri student namely Haris Shakeel Khan son of Shakeel of Khan resident of Kadipora Anantnag was allegedly  ruthlessly beaten by his non-kashmiri college mates and local resident boys at Kharar Mohali on Friday when he was proceeding  towards his college,DOABA group of colleges located at kharar Chandigarh Punjab.As per the reports he was later taken to Civil hospital kharar for treatment where from he was referred to Govt hospital Chandigarh for further treatment. It is said that Kashmiri student has recieved injuries in his head and backbone and is undergoing treatment at the hospital."I was proceeding towards examination centre where I had to appear in Environmental Engineering paper of B.tech 5th semester. About 15 to 20 students started thrashing me without saying a single word. I recieved many injuries due to which I could not appear in my examination," Haris shakeel said."They knocked me down and started punching on my face, head stomach and backbone. I was lone kashmiri student and tried to escape but I could not"he added."We are being threatened, beaten for no reason. Our only problen is that we are Kashmiri. We appeal Jk Government to intervene into the matter to end our sufferings. If such situations  continue to happen then is no alternative other than quitting our studies." a group of students told.Such incidents have occured in the past as well, when kashmiri students across the country have been attacked when there is unrest in the Valley.
