CM calls Dental Surgeons to serve poor first

Prem Kumar Dhumal, Chief Minister called upon Dental Surgeons to contribute  their services towards mitigating the sufferings of economically poor patients who were unable to pay charges on account of their Dental health check up.Chief Minister was addressing 16th Annual Day-Cum-Prize Distribution function of BRS Dental College at village Sultanpur in Panchkula Distt. near Chandigarh. Highlighting the efforts of State Government in Himachal Pradesh, Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal said that ‘Project Muskan’ had been launched and 75 Dental Surgeons were appointed recently to make dental hygiene a mass movement. He said that the surgeons would provide free dentures to senior citizens in the State. He said that 2nd phase of ‘Chief Minister Student Health Programme’ had been started for free medical check up of students in schools.He released 4th Volume of Indian Journal of Oral Health Sciences on the occasion. He also gave away awards to meritorious students and Mementoes to best teachers of the college.Chairman of the Dental College Management, Dr. Anup Garg, Director, Dr. V.K. Chaudhary and Dr. Bhagwant Singh, Dental Surgeon of International repute also attended the function. Principal, Dr. Sanjay Kalra delivered his welcome address and highlighted the activities of the college. Chief Minister was accompanied by Shri Ravinder Singh Ravi, Irrigation and Public Health Minister.
