The “Aryans XI” of Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh defeated Chitkara, RIMT and BBSBEC in Inter College Cricket (Men) Championship 2013-14 held at RIMT, Mandi Gobindgarh. With this, Aryans Group has reached the Finals of Pool C of Inter College Tournament. Dr Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group congratulated the Team for its achievement.In the first match between Aryans XI and RIMT, RIMT won the toss and decided to bat. The RIMT team was bowled out at 160 runs in 30 overs. Aryans XI won the match by completing the target in 26 overs only. After defeating RIMT, Aryans XI played against Chitkara in which Chitkara won the toss and decided to field first. Aryans XI scored 144 runs in 28 overs.
The Chitkara team failed to reach the target and was bowled out in 27 overs.In the Semi Final match of Pool C between Aryans XI and BBSBEC, Aryans won the toss and decided to field first. The BBSBEC team was bowled out at 85 runs in 20 overs. Aryans XI achieved the target in 15 overs only.While appreciating the team, Dr. Anshu Kataria said that last time, Aryans Team could not win even a single match. But the team has worked hard for this tournament and these three victories have added to the spirits of the team. The Aryans team is now looking forward to other matches.Sharing his views, the Captain of Aryans XI- Mr. Sushil Kumar said that the whole team has been mentored perfectly. He added that their constant efforts and the cooperation from the Management and Staff of College have bore fruits.
