District Development Commissioner Ramban Mohammad Aijaz today convened a meeting of all concerned officers and executing agencies to review the progress on execution of several projects under PMGSY.The meeting was informed 30 schemes, out of total 40 sanctioned schemes, are being executed in the district. Besides, 12 projects have been completed at the cost of Rs.9857.77 lakh resulting in development of over 220 km road network. Further, four bridges have also been taken up, out of total sanctioned 8 bridges, and around 57 hamlets have been connected with motorable road grid, so far. While deliberating on the eight phase Seri to Sucha road, District Development Commissioner instructed the concerned Collector to conduct joint verification with engineers and resolve the bottlenecks causing delays in the completion of the project. He also instructed the executive engineer Banihal to resolve the issues and speed up work on roads including Hewagan to Dhanmasta, Alinbas to Hoonga, Sarbagni to Shagun, Banihal to Mangit.
The meeting was also apprised of the progress on one and half km patch of Jaman - Gagra road in Gool and the 13 km Ukhral to Bingara road.District Development Commissioner directed ACR Ramban to expedite the process of providing compensation to approved beneficiaries for Batote-Chakwa and other roads. He further asked him to resolve the issue of structure on Maitra-Balawat road.District Development Commissioner instructed the executing agency to expedite the work on stage one of the Chanderkote-Rajgarh road. DDC directed the officers to submit comprehensive reports detailing the work undertaken, amount of compensation provided and pendency of roads and structures, working condition of the roads, forest clearance, felling of trees, DPRs of stage-II and other factors responsible for causing delay in the works. ACR (Collector) Ramban, SDM (Collector) Gool, Chief Planning Officer, AD, Executive Engineer, Tehsildar Ramban and other engineers were present in the meeting.
