D.K, Upadhayay Inspector General of BSF, Jammu Frontier, called on Governor N. N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan and briefed him about the obtaining security situation along the entire International Border (IB) which falls in the Jammu region. Paying tributes to the BSF personnel who had made the supreme sacrifice in the past weeks, the Governor stressed the need for surveillance being effectively enhanced along the entire IB and the counter infiltration grid being enforced far more stringently throughout the ensuing winter period.The Governor also discussed with the IG his concerns regarding the need to take all required steps to provide support and relief to the border dwellers affected by the recurring Cease Fire violations by the Pakistan Forces.
