The government is contemplating to raise the necessary sports infrastructure at the district level so as to harness the hidden talent” this was stated by the Minister for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Choudhary Zulfkar Ali  after inaugurating a strength lifting championship.The Minister underscored the need to promote sports among youth and said that sports and games offers  children more than physical benefits, it imbibes in them sportsmanship which helps shape their personality and social skills .He said that young students involved in sports are less likely to take drugs or smoke because they vigorously realize the bad impact of these destructive activities which later on can affect their performance badly.Addressing youth and prominent citizens, the minister congratulated the youth and sports associations for organizing such type of competitive sports events in the border district.He said that youth is the future of society and called upon the youth to actively participate in sports activities.He further said that this district is a hub of talent and the government would provide adequate opportunities to nuture the hidden talent. He said that the sport associations are doing great job by providing basic platform in exploring and nurturing the talent to next level.The Minister also attended the concluding day event of district table tennis championship.
