The Punjab Deputy Chief Minister, Sukhbir Singh Badal today lashed out at PPCC President Captain Amarinder Singh and said that by giving a statement exonerating Jagdish Tytler in 1984 anti-Sikh massacre, Captain Amarinder Singh has betrayed the Sikhs and proved that he has no concern for the families who suffered the most horrendous carnage and also that he can stoop to any level to please his political masters i.e. the Gandhi family. Naming Gandhi family as the sworn enemy of Sikhs, S. Badal said that this family can never think about the well being of either Punjab or the Sikhs.Addressing a vast gathering here on the occasion of inaugurating sewa kendars in the Batala constituency, the Deputy Chief Minister said that only those elements are joining AAP who are ignored or not given importance anywhere else. Coming down heavily on AAP, he said that this party doesn’t care for religious sentiments of people and has desecrated holy scriptures and its legislators are embroiled in many cases ranging from moral turpitude to corruption.Earlier, the Deputy Chief Minister inaugurated modern cattle fair ground at a cost of Rs. 5.50 crore and also laid the foundation stone of a 66 KV power station which would come up at a cost of Rs. 7 crore. 

He disclosed that today is a historic day as 142 sewa kendars have begun their operations in Gurdaspur.Coming to more batala centric measures, S. Badal announced that Rs. 18 crore would be given shortly for ensuring the overall development of batala constituency. He also sanctioned Rs. 150 crore for the provision of sewerage in batala. He also sanctioned Rs. 11 crore for the villages falling in the batala constituency.Terming SAD-BJP government as the true representative of the aspirations of the people of Punjab, S. Badal said that the present government constructed memorials dedicated to all the religions besides preserving the cultural heritage by constructing heritage street in the area surrounding Sri Darbar Sahib in Amritsar. He also detailed that this month nearly 2500 free medicine centers would be opened across the state and in the next 5 years solar lights and sewerage facilities would be provided in all the 12000 villages of the state. 

He also said that the SAD-BJP government has ushered in an era of prosperity in the state and the various pro-people measures such as-Surplus power, shagan scheme, atta-dal scheme, free power to farmers, free health insurance to farmers and traders and excellent road infrastructure are a clear testimony to this.The Deputy Chief Minister also inaugurated a sewa kendar at village shikar machhian in Dera Baba Nanak block which has come up at a cost of Rs. 15 lakh. He also disclosed that 12 sewa kendars in the block have been operationalized. The Deputy Chief Minister further informed that today 919 rural sewa kendars have been started across the state and these kendras would provide government services to the people in a hassle free manner. He also gave Rs. 10 lakh for overall development of village shikar machhian.Among others present on the occasion included Former minister Sucha Singh Langah, former MLA Lakhbir Singh Lodhinangal, District President SAD (Urban) Subhash Ohri, District President Youth Akali Dal Ramandeep Singh Sandhu, Deputy Commissioner Pardeep Sabharwal, DIG Border Range A.K. Mittal , and SSP Daljinder Singh Dhillon.
