Kashmir Economic Alliance Thursday said that if New Delhi is serious about Kashmir resolution then it should send an empowered committee team to Valley. The Forum said that the cold response shown by Government of India amply makes it clear that it is more interested in elections in UP, Gujrat, Punjab than resolving Kashmir issue.Addressing a press conference here in Srinagar the KEA functionaries Muhammad Yousuf  Chapri and Farooq Ahmed Dar said that the traders in Kashmir is not interested in profit and losses but they eagerly want resolution to Kashmir problem. It is unfortunate that some so-called representatives of trade bodies take lead in meeting any delegation that arrives in Kashmir and mislead them about the real situation. The Government of India sponsored delegations should understand that Kashmir is an issue and this disputed issue needs immediate resolution,” they said. They said that Government of India should show some seriousness in getting this long pending issue resolved and it should bear it in mind that Kashmir is not an economic problem but it is a political problem. “Pumping money in Kashmir is not going to solve any problem. Fruitful dialogue with real stake-holders is the only way out,” they said.(CNS)
