Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Sham Lal Choudhary today directed the district administration to ensure adequate arrangements are put in place in the relief camps for the people shifted from border areas due to cross border firing.The Minister said this during his visit to these camps in R.S Pura today where he interacted with the villagers present in the camps and enquired about the basic amenities being provided to them in the camps. He instructed the camp officers to remain available at the camps to provide any immediate help to the people.SDM R S Pura Vikas Kundal informed the Minister that all necessary arrangements have been put in place for the people and further said that only women and children have come to the camps and men are staying in their houses to take care of their cattle.It is the responsibility of the administration to put sincere efforts in providing safe and healthy environment to the affected people including good quality food, sanitation and medicare facilities”, Minister said adding that during this tough time on border these people should be protected and evacuated safely from danger areas to the relief camps.
