Minister for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Choudhary Zulfkar Ali, who is also the Chairman of DDB Kupwara, today chaired District Development Board review meeting and took stock of ongoing developmental projects under district sector in Kupwara.The meeting was attended by Minister for Social Welfare, ARI & Trainings and Science & Technology, Sajjad Gani Lone, Member Parliament, Fayaz Ahmad Mir, MLA Kupwara, Bashir Ahmad Dar, MLA Karnah Raja Manzoor, MLA Langate Engineer Abdul Rashid, Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara, Kumar Rajeev Ranjan, Chief Engineer, PHE, Kashmir, Chief Engineer, PMGSY, Kashmir along with HoDs and District/ Sectoral Officers.The Minister stressed on full utilization of funds allocated under the plan ensuring timely completion of ongoing projects.Expressing satisfaction over the work done under R&B, PHE, Zulfkar Ali said that everyone has to contribute to make an effective mechanism which would serve people in a better manner.
He stressed upon all the departments to expedite the completion work on pending works in the district.Recalling the commitments made by late Chief Minister Mufti Muhammad Sayeed, the Chairman said that Government would ensure that all commitments made by him are fulfilled on priority basis, including the developmental works to be done in Kupwara.
Stressing on judicious use of resources, the Minister stressed upon the officers to put in their sincere and dedicated efforts for proper utilization of the funds allocated under various schemes to create valuable assets in border areas. He also directed HODs to conduct frequent field visits to monitor the quality and pace of developmental works.The Chairman assured that due consideration would be given to the suggestions and demands projected by the legislators in the meeting with regard to the development of area.
