Hurriyat (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq expressed grief over the killing of 18-year-old B.A. 1st Year student, Junaid Ahmad Mir of Naruallahpora Budgam in indiscriminate shelling by government forces and paid tributes to the martyred youth.According to a statement issued to KNS, a delegation led by Hurriyat member and Jammu Kashmir Awami Action Committee (AAC) District President Budgam, Hakeem Ghulam Muhammad visited the residence of Junaid Ahmad Mir and expressed sympathy and solidarity with his parents on behalf of the incarcerated Hurriyat (M) Chairman and said that it is extremely painful to lose our young to the brutality of India again and again.Paying glowing tributes to the Martyrs of Bijbehara on their 23rd martyrdom anniversary, Hurriyat (M) said people have been sacrificing their lives and livelihood since 1931, these sacrifices are the assets of our resistance Movement, an inspiration for us to carry forward.

Jammu Kashmir has been witnessed to a bloody history with innumerable massacres occurring in every part of the state yet the killers of these innocent were neither held accountable nor the so called inquiries ordered into the massacres borne any results till date.Condemning the brutal force used to sabotage the peaceful programmes announced by the unified resistance leadership, the statement said the Indian government and its local collaborators , who are busy carrying out nocturnal raids and arbitrary arrests of the people should instead pay heed to the APHC’s suggestions of demilitarization from Kashmir, removing draconian laws like AFSPA, release all political prisoners ,so that some kind of conducive atmosphere can be created for the resolution of the vexed Kashmir dispute in accordance with the United Nations resolution or trough a transparent and unconditional tripartite dialogue keeping in view the wishes and aspirations of the people of Kashmir.Meanwhile the spokesman expressed concern over the deteriorating health of JKLF chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik and said that it is shameful that government is even denying him medical aid.
