Minister for PHE, Irrigation & Flood Control, Sham Lal Choudhary today reiterated government’s commitment to promote girl education in the state and highlighted various schemes being implemented by the government for ensuring the same.The Minister said this while distributing school uniform among the students of Government Girls High School, Chakrohi.The Minister said that it is the priority of the government to provide quality education in government schools besides improving sports infra in these educational institutions.He further said that the people should come forward to take optimum benefit of various welfare schemes including Ladli Beti, Marriage Assistance Scheme and Beti Padhao, Beti Bachao being implemented for giving boost to the future of girls.
The government is working relentlessly to provide every facility in government schools at par with the private schools so that more and more people send their wards to government schools for their education.The Minister called upon the teachers to imbibe discipline among the students and conduct debates, symposiums, competitions, sports events for the overall development of the students.Responding to the demand of installation of hand pump in the school, the Minister said that not only clean drinking water facility, the government will provide every facility to the students including mid-day meal, clean toilets, play grounds and power supply.Earlier, the Minister kick started the construction work of 1.5 km long road from Chak Boli to Chak Baje being constructed at the cost of Rs. 20 lakh by PWD (R&B).
