DC Kupwara directs officers to visit remote areas

The Deputy Commissioner Kupwara today directed the district and sectoral officers to visit remote areas of the district to know about issues being faced by the people and for their timely redressal.He said the decision was taken during a District Development Board review meeting chaired by Minister for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali.Accordingly the officers have been directed to visit, at least fortnightly, Karnah, Machil, Keran, Jumagund and Budnambal areas of the district from Oct 19, 2016.As per the timeline issued, officers of the Rural Development, Power, PHE, I&FC, FCS&CA departments have been asked to visit Machil on October 19, Karnah on October 24, Keran onNovember 01, Jumagund and Budnambal on November 18 for conducting Awami darbars.The officers and engineers of Education, Health, Agriculture and Horticulture departments have been asked to conduct tours to Machil on October 20, Karnah on November 02, Keran on November 22, Jumgund and Budnambal on November 30.Similarly, the district and sectoral officers of Animal, Sheep Husbandry, Fisheries and Sericulture departments have been asked to visit Machil on November 24, Karnah on November 3, Kerna on November 27, Budnambal and Jumgund areas on November 30 respectively.
