Minister of State for Tourism, Education , and culture Mrs Priya Sethi has  reiterated  the commitment of the government to promote J&K as round the year tourist destination keeping in view the rich cultural diversity which the three regions of the state offers to the tourists .The Minister said this while speaking at the closing ceremony of 3 days long Bharat International Tourism Bazaar(BITB) here at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.The Minister while assuring resolute support to the travel trade fraternity said that  travel is a new religion for the people around the world which creates global citizens beyond the boundaries. The Minister while elaborating on Inclusive Tourism which is this years theme  of World Tourism   said that Ladakh , is a place worth visiting multiple times  offering  breathtaking experience of Trekking, Jeep Safaari, River Rafting and much more. 

She further said that  Kashmir could be promoted as  an ideal wedding destination during summers.Citing Jammu as pilgrimage destination which receives huge influx of  pilgrims every  year, Mrs. Sethi  asked travel trade fraternity to extend the stay of pilgrims by a day or two by including the nearby destinations  like Bhaderwah in their itinerary.Mrs Sushma Chauhan, Director Tourism Jammu during her closing address invited those present among the audience to come for the darshan of Mata durig the ongoing 9 days Navratra Festival which  started from 2nd October, 2016 and also to explore the myriad options of religious and pilgrimage tourism potential of the region.Among others F A. Shah Secretary Tourism, J&K, Mehmood Ahmad Shah Director Tourism Kashmir, Shamim Ahmad Wani MD JK Cable Car Corp, Er. S.K. Attri Dy. Dir Tourism , Jammu were also present on the occasion.
