MLA Kathua , Rajiv Jasrotia today urged upon the medicos to make health institutions a better place to serve people.He was speaking to medicos and staff after inaugurating digital X-Ray and Solar power plant at District Hospital, Kathua.Chief Medical Officer(CMO) Kathua Dr. R K Sangra , Superintendent DH Dr. V S Jamwal , District Officers Jammu & Kashmir Energy development agency (JKEDA) Science & Technology Jammu and Kathua Deepak Sharma and N D Sharma besides officers and officials of other departments were also present.The MLA said that solar power plant worth Rs. 1. 21 crore and Rs. 1 crore Digital X Ray will further strengthen the existing facilities being provided at DH Kathua.
He added that requisite infrastructure of PDD worth Rs. 6 lakh was also installed for proper functioning of Digital X Ray. He further said that foundation stone for de-addiction centre will soon be laid at the hospital.MLA Kathua also said that Rs. 5 lakh from his constituency development fund will be released at the earliest for early completion of emergency block of the hospital. He also stated that Kathua is fast developing town and has scope of expansion. “A number of development projects have been initiated in the district and few of them like University campus is ready for commissioning. He further added that KV, Polytechnic and ISBT will also be inaugurated soon.
