Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura for timely completion of Charari-e-Sharief dev projects

Minister for Agriculture, Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura, today chaired a meeting to review pace of different developmental works taken under Constituency Development Fund (CDF) and Convergence programme in Charari-e-Sharief Constituency.The Minister directed the officers of Municipal Committee Charari -e-Sharief, Rural Development, Power Development and Education departments to work in synergy and speed up the pace of work on all developmental works under execution in the Constituency. He called for judicious and full utilization of funds.He said that an amount of Rs 1.21 crore has been released under CDF for construction of lanes, drains, culverts, chain fencing, foot paths, purchase of computers, transformers and improvement of power infrastructure.

While reviewing works taken under Rural Development Department, Mr Hanjura was told that seven works under CDF were completed and construction on four other works is going on, while as under Convergence programme, out of 27 works eight were completed and 19 other are under execution. It was given out that out of Rs 1.67 crore, Rs 22.05 lakh have been incurred on these works so far.The meeting was informed that under Power Department 11 works were completed and funds to the tune of Rs 50 lakh released under CDF have been utilized.Officials of the Municipality Committee while briefing the Minister about activities carried by them said five Community Sanitary Complexes were completed last year under Swachh Bharat Programme. It was given out that work on 10 Community Sanitary Complexes and 2000 individual Household Latrines has been started during current year.About the purchase of computers for some educational institutes of the constituency, Mr Hanjura directed the Chief Education Officer to submit a detailed report regarding the samewithin two days.The meeting was attended by the officers of PDD, Planning & Development, Education, and Municipal Committee Charari-e-Sharief.
