Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Dr. Syed AbidRasheed, today kick started a week-long sanitation drive under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan in the district. The drive was launched by the DC along with senior district officers at Dak Bunglow and Degree College Khanabal.On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner stressed upon the officials of municipalities to launch special cleanliness drives for hospitals, bus stands, and areas around religious places.He said that it becomes duty of every individual to take forward the cleanness drive at their individual level and role of students becomes imperative in spreading this message. The DC said that owing to its prime location on the tourism map, all the concerned Municipal councils should take measures to make Anantnag a clean and green district.
