District Development Commissioner Samba, Sheetal Nanda today launched the ‘Swachhta Pakhwada’ being organized in the District from 1st to 15th October.She flagged off an Awareness vehicle on Swachh Bharat theme which shall cover all the blocks in these 15 days and create awareness and educate people on health,hygiene and sanitation. The Vehicle shall also have posters, pamphlets and cleanliness messages which would be distributed among general public.On the occasion, all the district officers alongwith their subordinate staff were administered a sanitation pledge.The DDC stressed that the pledge should be translated into actions so as to bring about a visible change around us. The District Panchayat Officer informed that duties have been assigned to all departments for successful implementation of the activities planned for the fortnight which would include special gram sabhas, cleanliness drives in schools, health institutions, rallies etc.CPO Samba Jasbir Singh,Addl SP Raja Adil Hamid, DPO Aijaj Qaiser among otherswere present on the occasion.
