Students across Kashmir are hitting to roads stating examinations are secondary and they are primarily concerned with the resolution of Kashmir problem.Resolve Kashmir dispute and we will sit in examination, is a slogan becoming talk of the town every single day passes in Kashmir.Student protests against 10th and 12th examinations across Kashmir continued on Saturday with several groups taking to streets in Srinagar and elsewhere.Several groups of students including girls staged separate protest demonstrations in Srinagar and chanted anti-government slogans. They accused the state education ministry of being “blind to the situation” and asked it to bring back the eye sight of those students who are unable to read and write now because of pellet injuries.Scores of students from different private and government schools assembled at Press Enclave, holding placards and banners.“We are ready for exams but not without mates maimed and blinded by Indian forces,” they said.“We will not sit in exams without Insha and Yasir. We will not appear in tests without our friends who have been rendered blind by the government forces,” they said.

Another group of female students also held a separate protest at Press Enclave. They were holding banners, reading “Exam boycott till K-issue is resolved, wake up UNO chief Ban Ki Moon, wake up world against the Indian atrocities against unarmed Kashmiris.”They slammed education minister for closing his eyes on the “brutalities on civilians by men in uniform”.Protests were also held by students in Bhagat, Parray Pora, Safa Kadal, Rambagh and others localities. In North Kashmir’s Sopore town, scores of students held a protest rally against the government policy of announcing examinations in November. The students held placards, banners and marched from Boys Higher Secondary to Government Degree College Sopore raising slogans that they won’t appear in examination until Kashmir issue is resolved .“We want peaceful resolution of Kashmir first and exams later. We are also going to write to UNO and world communities about the atrocities committed by Indian forces against innocent students and how government has made the education a chess board to give a semblance of normalcy,” they added.Protests were also held in Pattan, Beerwah Budgam, Tral, Pulwama and other parts of Valley.
