District Development Commissioner Udhampur Niraj Kumar, who is also the District Registrar for Citizen Registration, today convened a review meeting on the latest status of biometric enrollment under Aadhar.Joint Director Census operations J&K, Surender Kumar and State Coordinator ECIL R.K Gupta were also present in the meeting. The DC said that the main objective of holding the meeting  is to speed up the process of the enrollment of all the left outs in the district .Speaking on the occasion, the JD Census operations congratulated the district for achieving the set target of 4.75 lakh enrollment. Stressing on ensuring the enrollment of the left outs, the Joint Director said that hundred percent population must be covered under NPR as  it is mandatory  to cover the entire population of the district under the Citizenship act and directed the concerned to ensure hundred percent coverage till October this year.

In order to speed up the process of covering  all the students of various  schools under Aadhar (above 5 years), he asked the concerned to identify a central location(Cluster system) where  students of  two or more than two schools can get themselves enrolled under AADHAR. He also asked the operators to coordinate with the school authorities to cover all the left out students. He further said that adequate number of machines would be shifted to those places where the number of left outs is more so that they can also be covered under aadhar and hundred percent enrollment can be achieved in the district. The JD told that an enumerator like VLW, Patwari or AWW would be appointed who would cooperate with the operator in the process of enrollment.Detailed discussion was also held on various problems being faced by both the district officers and the operators involved in the process of BME under Aadhar.
