The Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Ramesh Kumar today inspected ongoing Girdawari of Tarhara Patwar Halqua, Nihalpur village of Niabat Barnoti.The Girdawari (harvest inspections) in the District is scheduled from September 15 till October 15, 2016 wherein the patwaris of various Patwar Halqas will conduct the harvest inspections as per schedule .The DC was accompanied by Tehsildar Kathua Tehsildar HQ, Naib Tehsildar Barnoti and other revenue functionaries.DC gave directions to all the revenue officers to conduct inspections of the ongoing Girdawari randomly in their respective jurisdiction.The DC also Interacted with locals and visited few sites for on spot inspection along with them. He also checked many Khasra numbers for Girdawari entries and asked revenue authorities to bring to notice any encroachment and land conversion they observe and record actual crop existing on ground including Kharaba.He also gave directions to make sure that Girdawari Schedule is adhered to and maintenance, preservation and updating of land records is done in accordance with Standing Order number 22.
