Stating that India and British enjoy mature bilateral relations and strong socio-cultural linkages, the Punjab Governor and Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh, Shri. VP Singh Badnore emphasized the need for further strengthening economic & trade ties through vibrant partnership and joint ventures in different fields of activity.In a meeting with Mr. Alan Gemell OBE, Minister Cultural Affairs, British High Commission who called on Punjab Governor today at Punjab Raj Bhavan along with Ms. Tanisha Thiara, Head, British Council at Chandigarh, Shri Badnore stressed upon teachers exchange programme. He asked them to send their teachers to Mayo College and Punjab Public School Nabha to share their experiences with our teachers and students.Governor further said that there was a major scope to further expand economic & business cooperation in wide range of fields like solar energy and environment. He said bold initiatives have taken up for generation of more power with focus on tapping solar energy to meet growing demand in different sector of economy.
