The Political existence of the Aam Aadmi Party is so transient that it will soon fade away from the political scene of Punjab. The party has drastically lost its significance in the state as the Punjabis have understood the deceitful policies of this new political outfit. It was disclosed by Sukhbir Singh Badal, Deputy Chief Minister, Punjab while addressing the gathering after inaugurating the Rural Sports and Cultural Festival on the occasion of Aagman Purab of Baba Farid. He said that Punjabis are so much disenchanted with the Aam Aadmi Party’s agenda for the Punjab and claimed that this party would not successful even winning a single seat in the ensuing Punjab Vidhan Sabha election.Taking a dig at political jugglery played by comedian Navjot Singh Sidhu for backtracking from his claim to form a new political party, Mr. Badal said that people of Punjab have cold shouldered Navjot Sidhu and rejected his move to form new party. 

He said that now Sidhu in the state of utter desperation has backtracked form his announcement and shelved the plan to form a new party.Earlier while addressing the gathering Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal said that the Punjab Government has decided to upgrade the Nehru Stadium as Multi Purpose Stadium. He said that the upgradation process would be completed within a year. He said that the government is also contemplating to set up a wrestling excellence sports centers at Faridkot. Elaborating upon the sports infrastructure set up in the state by the SAD-BJP government, Deputy Chief Minister said that 10 Hockey astro turfs have been laid down in the different stadium besides 20 odd sports stadium have been upgraded as Multi Purpose Sports stadiums.

Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal further said that in order to tackle the menace of unemployment in the state 250 skill development centers have been established wherein more than 1 lakh youths would be imparted the vocational training in different trades each year. He said that after achieving the making Punjab a power surplus state now the focus is on upgrading the road networking in the state. He said that process for the four to six lining of all the major roads is the state is underway . He said that Union Minister Mr. Nitin Gadkari has recently laid the foundation stone of road networks of worth Rs. 20 thousands in Punjab. He said that soon the state would become the best state of the country having excelling road network.

Mr. Badal also enjoyed the rural sports and matches of Kabbadi, Horse Riding etc. Deputy Chief Minster visited Tilla Baba Farid and paid homage to the Baba Farid ji.
