Sheikh Mustafa Kamaal Additional General Secretary J&K National Conference has expressed his deep anguish and sorrow at the Rajouri violence instigated by a section of the population against the Muslim majority on the untenable charge of having sacrificed a “camel” on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.In a statement issued to KNS that said this is yet another attempt to flare –up communal tension by the fringe elements of the State BJP who are always on the look out to do so even on the flimsiest of excuse ever since the State BJP is sharing power in J&K with the PDP. The Central leadership of this party should wake up and reign in its cadre in J&K the only Muslim majority State in the country and not look up to a repeat of 1947-48 genocide of Muslims of Jammu which, God, forbid, would be the last nail in the already tense relations with New Delhi. PM Modi instead of shirking responsibility should directly deal with J&K State especially internal Strife being witnessed at present. Outsourcing it to ministries of Defence and home and the bureaucrats reflects indifference of PM Modi towards the State of J&K and the internal and external dimensions of the problem. President of National Conference Farooq Abdullah has said in a statement of 09-09-2016 appearing in local media of Srinagar “Kashmir is perhaps the most prolonged and complicated political dispute in entire world and it cannot be outsourced to neither the Home Ministry nor the defence Ministry or the bureaucrats in New Delhi.”

“ Prime Ministry is morally and politically obligated to deal with this issue personally and politically with a sense of justice, history and empathy.” Said Farooq Abdullah. Kamaal has further said that had New Delhi not withdrawn troops in 1947-48 to the ceasefire line now called the LOC after driving out the Pakistan backed raiders from every inch of the then J&K the State would have been in one piece and completely autonomous . UN brokered ceasefire at the instance of New Delhi was, as time has proved it, a pre- planned move of GOI to bifurficate the State in which the two country’s of India and Pakistan got control of their respective parts through intrigue and unfair means . Sher- e- Kashmir late Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah had posed the question on several occasions “ why did Indian troops withdraw after clearing the soil of J&K of Pakistan backed tribal invaders?.” This question remained un- answered in his life time and continues to remain so till date.Dr. Kamaal also called upon the District administration to book the culprits of this violence and arson without loss of time and take steps to fully compensate the damage to life and property and ensure that such incidents do not occur in future.
