Senior National Conference leader and MLA Sonawari Mohammad Akbar Lone here on Saturday said that with Home Minister Rajnath Singh directly holding review meetings on present law and order situation with the National Security Advisor Ajit Dovel and Union Home Secretary in absence of State Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and Chief Minister herself summoned by governor N.N.Vohra for unusal briefings over law and order situation it seems that the Chief Minister has surrendered all her powers before the centre only for staying in power and availing some entitlements as Chief Minister.
Talking to KNS Akbar Lone, a former Speaker Assembly and a former Minister representing Sonawari Assembly segment in assembly said “If at all Home Minister Rajnath Singh in view of the currents concerns on Kashmir is obliged to hold review meetings on law and order in Kashmir, he should have also invited Chief Minister for attending such important meeting on sensitive issues like law and order in a crisis situation”. Conduct of law and order meetings by the Home Minister without engaging the Chief Minister of the state concerned shows that the Home Ministry has virtually wrested powers of internal security from the Chief Minister and Jammu & Kashmir Government is virtually run by the Modi led BJP Government in Delhi.
