Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mohammad Aijaz today convened a meeting with officers of concerned line departments to progress on development works initiated under Member of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLAD) in the district.The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Ravinder Sadhu, Chief Planning Officer, Parshotam Kumar, Assistant Commissioner Development, Executive Engineer and officials of Rural Engineering Wing.Assistant Commissioner Development informed that out of 25 approved works for both Banihal and Ramban, 22 have been taken up so far under proper monitoring and inspection by the technical agency.The DDC further gave instructions to speed up the pace of work to efficiently utilize the funds to create durable assets in the district .The meeting was informed that total nine works including works of fencing and toilet complex at Ukhral and Passenger shed at Chamalbas have been completed.
