Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Dr Pawan Kotwal alongwith IGP Jammu Mr Danish Rana reviewed arrangements for the  Eid-ul-Azha.District officers of various departments along with the representatives of various religious and social organisations, political parties and NGOs were present in the meeting.Representative of various political parties and social organisations jointly put forth certain development related issues being faced by the people of the area and sought their early redressal .The issue of road connectivity, power curtailment, drinking water facilities, Enrolment of Adhaar card, problems of ration cards, and the issue of supply of essential commodities like rice, aata, kerosene, sugar, LPG  were raised in the meeting.Speaking on the occasion, Div Com Jammu said that the meeting was convened to take appraisal of the arrangements for the Eid and also to hold interaction with the members of civil society to take first hand appraisal of their problems and demands for their time bound redressal.Dr Kotwal while reviewing   the ongoing developmental projects in the district directed the authorities concerned to ensure completion of work in time bound manner along with maintaining the quality of works. 

He directed the district administration to put in place all the necessary arrangements for  Eid .PDD  was directed to  ensure no curtailment of electricity on Eid whereas the Revenue deptt, CAPD, LMD were directed to intensify market checking for ensuring availability of Hygienic food material, eatables at viable cost. He also directed the animal husbandry deptt to keep a check on rate as well as health of animals to be sold on Eid.Divisional Commissioner also informed the people that Internet facilities in the region will be restored shortly after Eid.Earlier DDC Doda, Bhupinder Kumar gave a brief presentation of physical and financial achievements in the district. He informed the Divisional Commissioner that to streamline the enrollment for  Adhaar card and issuance of   ration  a Nodal  officer has been appointed who will resolve the issue in coordination with the concerned agencies . He also informed  that a local fruit Mandi at Khellani is ready and will get functional soon which will facilitate  the local fruit and vegetable growers to a great extend.Later Div Com visited other areas of the district and held a meeting with officers and public representatives at Dak Bunglow Bhaderwah.DDC Doda Bhupinder Kumar, DIG Doda Kishtwar Ramban range Mr Nisar khan, SSP Doda Zahid Manhas, ADDC Doda, ADC Doda, ACR Doda, besides other distt officers accompanied the Divisional Commissioner during the visit.
