Chairperson of Dukhtaran-e-Millat, Syedah Aasiyeh Andrabi, on Friday said that disallowing senior resistance leader, Syed Ali Geelani, from addressing a press conference exposes India’s frustration.She said that this forcible action by the occupying forces was also an indication that this resistance movement was being rightfully led. “By using force to stop Syed Ali Geelani sahib from addressing the scheduled press conference simply indicates that India is scared. Scared to the level that it doesn’t allow our leader to talk to media. It also exposes India’s frustration and is a good sign for the ongoing resistance movement,” she said.Andrabi said that such forcible actions shouldn’t deter people from pursuing the ongoing resistance movement.She also urged people to celebrate the upcoming Eid-ul Azha in solidarity with the martyrs, prisoners and the injured being treated at different hospital across the Valley.“Eid-ul Azha reminds of supreme sacrifice and an extreme love for the Almighty Allah which was displayed by both Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) and his son Hazrat Ismail (AS).
We too are struggling for an end to an illegal occupation and establishment of a country where love for the Allah SWT is of supreme importance. So this Eid we must show that we are a conscious and a serious nation,” she said.She said that for the past two months, people here have sacrificed more than 80 of their children, hundreds of person have been blinded and have suffered losses in in millions. “In such a scenario, we must remember that Eid will come once again but this Eid, we will be spending with the families of our martyrs, the injured and their attendants and also in solidarity with thousands of our children who are languishing in jails across JK and India,” she said. “Eid is celebrated when the hearts of filled with joy but our hearts are aching because of what has been happening for the past two months. So many of our near and dear have been killed and we are fighting a tyrant who has massive resources and we are unarmed. So this Eid, we must also remember our Mujahideen who have sacrificed their lives by launching an armed struggle against the illegal occupant, India,” she said.She it was their sacrifices that have led to the unity among the Kashmiris and were struggling jointly against this illegal occupation. “We must also remember our Mujahideen who have spent most of their lives inside jails,” she said.
She said that by marching to the UNMOG Sonwar on the day of Eid-ul Azha, people of Kashmir will prove to the world that they are ready to sacrifice their Eid celebration for their demand of right to self-determination. “ Thus, this Eid should be the day which should be different from other Eids and should sum up our efforts that we have put in since the past two months against the illegal Indian occupation,” she said.Further, she said, India has employed all its resources to suppress this resistance movement and has also unleashed enormous propaganda against Pakistan. “India is using weapons, media and diplomatic efforts to suppress this movement. On the other side, India was also launched a media war against Pakistan and was conspiring against it across the world,” she said.She said that Pakistan must not be deterred by such cheap Indian propaganda and must have belief that JK will soon be its part. “So, I appeal the people of Pakistan that they should also spend this Eid in a manner that it is proven to the world that JK and Pakistan is a single inseparable unit,” she added.
