Expressing deep concern over the highhandedness of the men in uniform in nook and corner of the valley, senior Hurriyat leader and Jammu Kashmir National Front chairman, Nayeem Ahmad Khan today said that if peaceful and democratic people’s movement is not given a heed it will lead to nothing but disastrous consequences in near future. Strongly condemning the maiming of thousands of unarmed protesters he said that men in uniform have been given clear instructions to use blind force to silent the peace loving Kashmiris and crush their democratic movement. In a statement issued to KNS, Nayeem Ahmad Khan said that people of Kashmir have exhibited utmost discipline during last more than two months of mass uprising and they want a permanent resolution to the Kashmir dispute so that the people of India, Pakistan and Kashmir can live peaceful and dignified life. However, peaceful Kashmiris are being reciprocated with bullets, pellets, PAVA and like weapons resulting in their deaths and injuries. He said that freedom loving Kashmiri’s properties are being damaged and a new “operation ransacking” has been started in the valley to silent peaceful protesters. This kind of oppression, suppression and tyranny, Nayeem Khan said will have dangerous consequences. He added that if peaceful people are not given a serious heed, they will definitely feel dejection which will lead to nothing but catastrophe. “Had New Delhi listened to pro-freedom Kashmiris in time the situation would not have like this,” Nayeem Khan said adding “it is high time for India to shun the path of arrogance and accept the historical facts vis-a-vis Kashmir dispute.

”Nayeem Khan said that New Delhi is otherwise busy in committing every sort of atrocities and damaging private properties is part of that. “The instructions to use force blindly against the unarmed Kashmiris and damage their private properties have been given from those who have started to deceive people by using terms like ‘Insanyat’ and ‘Jumhuriyat’,” Nayeem Ahmad Khan said. He added that raiding residential houses during night and vandalising households is not ‘Insanyat’ buy brazen ‘Hywaniyat’.Nayeem Ahmad Khan praised the steadfastness of the people who organise peaceful rallies but face force at the hands of the men in uniform. “Can’t these so called preachers of so called ‘Insanyat’ and ‘Jumhuriyat’ see the mounting figures of injured at the hands of police and forces,” Nayeem Khan asked. He strongly condemned the use of force against unarmed protesters and said that protesting peacefully is among the basic human rights however New Delhi and its local collaborators are hell bent to crush the unarmed Kashmiris to prolong their political power.Nayeem Khan further said that beating, thrashing and injuring elderly persons, women and kids are the acts of cruelty so human rights forums at international level must take strong cognizance of it. Nayeem Khan also said that blind use of pellets, bullets and other weapons against unarmed civilians is against the international rules and conventions so organisations like UNSC, UNHRC, OIC and EU should come forward for the rescue of oppressed Kashmiris. Nayeem Ahmad Khan further said that New Delhi is entirely relying on using force vis-a-vis Kashmir dispute that is why people are not ready to believe India any more. (KNS)
