The BJP on Saturday sought an apology from Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for AAP leader Ashutosh dragging Mahatma Gandhi, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and other legendary politicians into the controversy relating to a sex CD of former Delhi minister Sandeep Kumar.BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra, referring to a blog post by Ashutosh defending Kumar as the sex was consensual and private act and citing examples of Gandhi, Nehru, former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, and socialist leaders Ram Manohar Lohia and George Fernandes, claimed that this represented the views of party chief Kejriwal. He said it seem that pen used was of Ashutosh and the ink was of Kejriwal. "This is a case of playback singing. The face of one person and the voice of another."The AAP leader has compared the accused minister with legends like Gandhi, Nehru, and Vajpayee. This is nothing but disregard to the legends. This is not an assault on Gandhi or his character assassination but disregard of 125 crore Indians," Patra told a press conference."The person whom the world follows has been compared with a tainted AAP leader and it is highly objectionable. This is inexcusable," he added.

He said that Kejriwal should apologise for the act of his leader."Kejriwal is in Rome to attend the canonisation ceremony of Mother Teresa. He must speak when an Indian saint is attacked," he said. The BJP leader also criticised Ashutosh for advocating sex before marriage and saying virginity is not a virtue any more."Ashutosh should apologise for this claim," he said adding that the AAP leader's comment has come at a time when the government is running an ambitious campaign to save girl child "Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao" and "our daughters are winning medals at Olympics".Ashutosh had said that virginity for younger generation these days is a hint of being left behind in the social race and such a person is not a subject of envy, being deemed neither hot nor cool, but just unwanted, undesired.
