Senior PDP leader and Member Parliament Tariq Hameed Karra Friday said that though the radicalization in whatever form, for which ever thought is a dangerous trend world over, but the present dispensation in the Centre led by BJP-RSS combine, is glorifying the Indian radicalization.He said that as per them the radicalization of extremists in Indian states is termed as Nationalism, while radicalization of extremists in Kashmir is termed as terrorism. Thus the radicalization of extremism needs to be redefined in the Indian context. Though Kashmir has never subscribed to fundamentalism and extremism, but today’s radicalized hypernationlist Indian polity has pushed Muslims of Jammu and Kashmir to wall. After being threatened by BJP's political, economical, cultural and administrative ingression, entire Muslim population of the State has witnessed the religious ingression as well. In such situation why shouldn't Muslims of Jammu and Kashmir State think in terms of their polarized polity, which is already being glorified in the rest of the country. The same was stated by Karra in an interactive session organized by senior journalist Seema Mustafa under the banner of Centre of policy analysis in Delhi on 1st of September 2016, which has been working to build a dialogue between New Delhi and Kashmir. Apart from elected representatives of different political parties, it was attended by Kuldip Nayar, Retired Justice Rajinder Sacher, retired Air Marshall Kapil Kak, former member planning commission Syed Hameed, professor Kamal Chinoy, Professor Sidiq Wahid, professor Gul Wani, Shujaat Bukhari and Iftikhar Geelani.Karra further said it is not only about trying to build a dialogue between Delhi and Kashmir, “It is about redressing the moral wrong meted out to Kashmiris and Kashmir”.
He further dispelled the myth about the entire Jammu division being a Muslim minority area which is being propagated by ignorant and biased press, media and the political parties having hyper Nationalistic and radicalized approach. He proved his claim by reading out the census report of 2011, where by apart from Kashmir division, the entire Jammu division in totality, is stated as a Muslim majority area. Kathua, Udhampur, Jammu, Samba and Leh districts are the only Muslim minority areas in Jammu and Kashmir. Even Leh as a whole comprising of districts Leh and Kargil is also stated as a Muslim majority parliamentary constituency.Karra questioned about the rituals of sending Parliamentary delegations to Kashmir, only when the Kashmir is on boil. The ceremonial attitude of such delegations has discredited their ever adhok reconciliatory gestures. As these delegations ultimately turn out to be an event and finally fail to prove as a process. Had it not been so, the Government of India would have implemented the recommendations of earlier 3 All Party delegations in the years 1990, 2008, 2010.They would have implemented the recommendations of three All Party Delegations, five working groups, Rangarajan committee report, recommendations of interlocutors led by Dilip Padgaonkar, would not have ignored the recommendations of 5th, 6th and 7th Finance Commission report visa-v J&K. The non institutionalization of the phraseology used by three successive Prime Ministers for resolving Kashmir issue.

These PAVA shells have been declared as having potential to kill a person by way of respiratory failure, by the Doctors Association of Kashmir. In my opinion as long as some concrete steps with regard to douse anger for BJP-RSS combine and its coalition in J&K, is not taken, this All Party Delegation is not likely to change the ground realities.He further said, whom would this All Party Delegation meet to in today's scenario as entire Hurriyat leadership including Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Moulana Umar Farooq, Yasin Malik, Shabir Ahmad Shah and Nayeem Ahmad Khan have been jailed, hundreds of boys have been arrested, dozens have been booked under public safety act, brutality of forces is unabated. In this scenario i fail to understand what this delegation is coming for and what would be there likely achievement. (KNS)
