Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Niraj Kumar conducted an extensive tour of Tehsil Panchari today.During the visit, the DC inspected the orchards and Vermi Compost unit developed by Horticulture Department Udhampur at Meer, Panchari.Chief Horticulture Officer Udhampur C L Sharma informed the DC that 240 trees have been planted in different orchards which included trees of Apple, Walnut, Plum, Apricot and Peach and no chemical fertilizer has been used for raising these orchards.Regarding the Vermi Compost unit, the DC was apprised that the unit was constructed with the financial assistance of 0.5 lakh under 'Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture' scheme.Later, the DC inspected PHC Panchari, Government Food Store, Treasury and other Government offices at Panchari.
