District Development Commissioner Kathua Ramesh Kumar today visited Billawar and inspected various ongoing developmental projects in the area.During the public grievance redressal Camp convened by DDC at Galak, people from Rajawalta, Ramkote, Challain and adjoining panchayats highlighted issues from their respective areas. The key issues highlighted by the people of Rajwalta include road connectivity, shortage of staff in Ayurvedic Dispensary, blacktopping of PMGSY road from Galak to Rajwalta, staff for sub-centre Rajwalta, provision for regular CAPD ration supply, shortage of masters in high school Rajwalta.Deputation from Ramkote apprised the DDC about the problems faced by the locals which includes demand of school building and bridal path for Middle School Sarth and regular potable water supply to the area.
DDC during his visit to Government Middle School Dramani ,Higher Secondary School Gujjroo Nagrota and Higher secondary School Billawar interacted with school children and enquired about the facilities being provided such as mid day meal, books, uniforms, toilet and drinking water.DDC also inspected ongoing construction work of school buildings under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA).During his visit to Panchayat Ghar building at Kishanpur, DDC planted saplings of ornamental plants. He appealed the people to plant trees and make habit of plantation every year during monsoon season. He directed ACD to ensure that the name and scope of various schemes are displayed on Panchayats Ghar walls for the information of general masses.Later DDC visited Sub District Hospital Billawar and inspected ongoing construction work of additional building. He passed directions to the executing agency to complete the work within stipulated time while ensuring quality on ground.Assistant Commissioner Development Kathua Dr Sunil Sharma, SDM Billawar Rajesh Basotra, Assistant Director CAPD Kathua Ajay Salan, District Social Welfare Officer Kathua, CEO Kathua Balbir Singh and CMO Kathua accompanied the DDC during the visit.
