Member Legislative Assembly Banihal Vikar Rasool Wani today discussed various issues of public importance with the District Development Commissioner Mohammad Aijaz.The MLA, leading a delegation of people from Sumber, Mahu, Mangit and Banihal, highlighted various public issues of his constituency and sought their early redressal. The MLA sought compensation for the damages caused to private houses and agriculture land by construction of railway tunnel in Sumber. He also demanded construction of community hall in every Panchyat halqa of his constituency.The MLA further demanded repair and maintenance of roads along tunnel construction sites and other rural link roads. He also raised the issues of water and power supply, Ration supply, land compensation, shortage of staff in schools and opening of more medical centres.The DC directed the Executive Engineer PHE to conduct a survey for restoration of water supply schemes damaged by construction of railway tunnels in different areas.The DDC also resolved some other issues on the spot by issuing directions to the concerned departments.
