Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik Monday said that calling peaceful protestors as attackers is actually justifying brutal killings of innocent Kashmiris. He said that Indian finance minister Arun Jaitley’s statement is actually demonstrating the colonial mindset of Indian rulers Vis a Vis Jammu Kashmir. Brutal killing of yet another Kashmiri youth is a direct consequence of hawkish behavior of Indian rulers. In a statement issued to KNS, chairman of Jammu Kashmir liberation front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik who is in Srinagar central jail along with other JKLF leaders Noor Muhammad Kalwal and Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi, in a message sent out from jail while strongly condemning the brutal killing of another innocent Kashmiri youth Irfan Fayaz of Feteh Kadal Srinagar by directly firing a shell on his heart, Yasin Malik said that during the daytime Indian finance minister in Jammu was calling Kashmiri protesters as attackers who deserved to be killed and just after some hours blood thirsty trigger happy Indian forces fulfilled his orders by killing another Kashmiri in cold blood.Malik said that calling unarmed protesters as attackers who needed to be dealt with firmly is actually demonstration of Indian rulers’ colonial mindset and a ploy to justify the spree of innocent killings in Kashmir. He said that Indian leaders and their Kashmiri stooges suffering from worst kind of arrogance and vanity are showing no regrets on innocent killings, no shame on snatching away eye sights of hundreds and even no embarrassment on putting millions of Kashmiris under stringent curfew from last 46 days. This callous approach of Indian leadership Vis a Vis Kashmiris is a glaring example of their colonial mindset and a proof that these Hitler’s in the disguise of so-called democracy can stoop to any low in their Kashmir and Muslim animosity. Yasin Malik said that history bears a witness to the fact that violence has always been used by India to suppress our legitimate resistance. This is being done by imposing a blanket ban on political peaceful means of resistance, by disallowing political leadership to reach out to the people, and putting political leadership in jails and under house arrests, added Yasin Malik.

He said that Kashmiri transformation from violence to non-violence started in 2008 and continued in 2010, 2011, 2013 etc. but instead of respecting this historical change, India and its stooges crushed it with military might and now in 2016 this peaceful mode of resistance is again being trampled by military might and people of Jammu Kashmir especially the youth are being pushed to the wall and left with no space for perusing a peaceful resistance.Yasin Malik said that Kashmir is locked under curfew from 46 days. Even e-curfew is imposed to suppress any news from going to the outside world and today Kashmir especially Srinagar is being deprived from even Milk for infants and children and lifesaving drugs for sick people. Even shopkeepers who want to open their shops during relaxation are being barred from doing so. Mehbooba’s regime at the behest of RSS is contemplating that by imposing hardships on Kashmiris it will succeed to break their will and resistance but she and her masters in Nagpur and Delhi should know that Kashmiris cannot be subdued by such means and instead of breaking our will these hardships actually are strengthening our belief in peaceful resistance. While welcoming the statement of OIC on Kashmir in which OIC has said that Kashmir is not an internal issue of India ,Yasin Malik said that international community needs to take concrete steps regarding Kashmiri sufferings and should use their good offices to resolve this dangerous issue which at any time can jeopardize the peace and stability of south Asia.

While condemning the nocturnal raids, arrests, hooliganism by Indian forces during night hours, beating people regardless of their age and gender, vandalizing residential houses and private vehicles, beating and humiliating people, thrashing ambulances and medical staff, Yasin Malik said that some ministers of ruling regime on daily basis are giving sermons about ethics, education, shabby condition of poor and so on, should have some guts and shame to speak out against these acts of state sponsored terrorism too. While appreciating the resolve of millions of Kashmiris especially the youth, Yasin Malik said that our resistance should remain completely peaceful and disciplined as our resistance is for the freedom of Jammu Kashmir, for the betterment of its people, for the welfare of its citizens and therefore we should always care for the common people and never do anything that may put common men and women, young and the old under any sort of trouble or distress.JKLF leaders Muhammad Yasin Butt and Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri today visited the residence of martyred youth Irfan Fayaz at Fetehkadal Srinagar and expressed solidarity with his bereaved family. Leaders took part in the condolence meeting held for the martyr and paid rich tributes to him.Meanwhile authorities at central jail Srinagar today barred many friends and relatives of JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik, vice chairman Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi and zonal president Noor Muhammad Kalwal from meeting them. A ban was also previously imposed on meetings of JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik at the said jail that had been removed afterwards. JKLF strongly condemns this new ban. (KNS)
