Doctors and paramedical staff at Pulwama District Hospital Monday staged protest against the “murderous attempt” on ambulance driver at Safa Kadal and harassing of medical staff at various places.The doctors and paramedical staff at Pulwama hospital assembled outside the hospital and chanted slogans against forces. They were holding placards displaying stop use of pellet guns, stop attack on ambulances; we want justice and stop attack on medical staff.The doctors while talking o KNS condemned the attack on ambulance driver and termed the act as “inhuman”.

They said that the involved force personnel should be booked and dealt with strictly according to law. “The government should personally intervene into the matter so that the attack of ambulances, medical staff should be stopped,” they said.They said that besides forces, it has been reported that youth are also stopping and damaging the ambulances while ferrying patients, which should also be stopped.Protesters demanded that the use of pellet guns, which maimed thousands of people so far, should also be stopped as a number of youth lost their eyesight due to its use.The protesters later dispersed peacefully.
