Reacting to the thrashing & harassment of Journos and employees, ambulance drivers and common people, by the Forces, Congress today expressed concern over the way the employees, journalists and common people are being treated on roads by the Forces. What is the use of curfew passes when these are not being considered as a valid document by the Forces, he questioned? In a statement issued to KNS, JKPCC Spokesperson said that this is unfortunate that despite having curfew passes issued by the Administration, the Employees journalists and other common people are being harassed and thrashed by the Forces which is not only unfortunate; but a matter of serious concern, when the curfew passes issued by DM is not valid, how can the administration pressurize the employees to attend duties? Even the Ambulances are not being allowed to move freely, which is highly unfortunate and unacceptable. The Administration should first see that how much valid the Curfew Passes are they issue, then think about forcing employees to perform their legitimate duties.

The Spokesperson said there seems to be a big communication gap within the Administration and in that situation how can the employees come out and put their lives at risk, so it is advisable on the part of the Govt to ensure that curfew passes so issued must be entertained and honoured by the Forces. The Spokesperson termed the thrashing of High Court Employee Mohammad Ramzan Wani by forces at Natipora, yesterday, as most unfortunate, as a result the employee sustained injuries. He condemned the forces for using abusive language against the Hon’ble Judges and Hon’ble High Court, as reported, this is something like egoism and lack of respect for the Judiciary on the part of Forces enforcing curfew and restrictions. Spokesperson said. The Spokesperson asked the Govt to come clean on this issue, as people have every right to know who is ruling the State. (KNS)
