The disturbed from the cancellation of permission earlier granted for the party conference to be addressed by M P Bhagwant Mann on 24th of August, Aam Aadmi Party volunteers lead by AAP leader and member State Social Media Team Gopi Sharma, organised a protest Dharna outside the office of EO Municipal Council Jagraon today. Earlier on the recommendation of EO Municipal Corporation , SDM Jagraon granted permission for holding rally at Rani Jhansi Chowk vide letter no.2882 -83/ reader on 19-8-2016 and later on the directions of local SAD MLA, the SDM issued another letter no. 2897-/reader on 19-8-2016 to cancel the granted permission citing reason that rally will cause inconvenience to the public. It is pertinent to mention that all political parties and other organisations used to hold rallies at this venue with the permission of local SDM, even few days back AAP organised a function at this venue with the permission of authorities. Later succumbing to the protest, the EO , M C accepting his mistake, regranted permission for holding the rally on 24th August at the same venue.The local AAP leader and member state Social Media Team Gopi Sharma strongly criticised the local administration for working under the autocratic dictates of SAD MLA to deny the democratic rights of opponents. He said that the SAD- BJP leaders were completely desperate from the rising graph of AAP in Punjab and were resoted to foolish tactics. He warned that if the democratic right of AAP of holding political rallies was denied in, then AAP will give befitting reply. The AAP leaders also told the Officers to judiciously use their powers in granting permissions to all parties during the electioneering in future.
