Attention pellet victims : Dr Natarajan to perform retinal surgeries at SMHS hospital from August 22

Borderless World Foundation-Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh (BWF-JKL) on Friday said that renowned Retinal Surgeon Padma Dr S Natarajan and his team would be once again available at SMHS Hospital from August 22 for a period of six days for surgical intervention of pellet victims.A statement issued here said that in this regard, all the pellet victims are informed to report at 8:00 AM sharp at Ophthalmology Department SMHS Hospital, Srinagar or contact BWF-JKL on 9419925848, 8715038918, 09999991406 and 08888445666."Moreover, all the Mohalla Committes, Masjid Committees, Welfare Committees, Youth Groups, Voluntary Organizations and other Organizations are requested to kindly share this information within their localities," the statement said.

Borderless World Foundation-Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh (BWF-JKL) has played a vital role in bringing Padma Dr. S. Natarajan and his Team to Kashmir Valley earlier in July this year, wherein the Team of Doctors conducted 62 Retinal Surgeries at Ophthalmology Department SMHS Hospital, Srinagar.Earlier in August 2016, Dr. Mahesh Shanmugam Head Vitreo-Retinal Services and Ocular Oncology Services, Sankara Eye Hospital Bengaluru also arrived in Valley on the request of Borderless World Foundation-Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh (BWF-JKL) and conducted 25 Surgeries on Pellet-Hit Victims at SMHS Hospital, Srinagar.In this regard, HOD Department of Ophthalmology Dr. Tariq Qureshi and the Staff and Director Health Services Kashmir Dr. Saleem-ur-Rehman provided 24x7 support to the outside doctors for conducting such surgeries.
