Disha Thakur of Shemrock School excelled in junior Punjab swimming championship ,won 3 Gold Medals

Disha Thakur Student of 11th standard of Shemrock Sen. Sec. School, sector 69  won 3 gold medals at  41st junior swimming championship held at Sangrur. Around 350 young swimmers from all over Punjab participated in the event. She was the winner of 50m100m and 200m breaststroke.On the occasion, Principal of the school Prineet Sohal exclaimed that these competitions showcase the talent and skills of students and the medals won by them motivate them to hard work for success.  She further added that swimming is very popular game and can be chosen as career to earn name and fame. Besides this, Swimming is a great recreational activity and it’s also a good way to relax and feel good. According to her such competitions  help in shaping the personality of  child and give them opportunity to participate at national level to excel.
