Expressing concerns over the steep deterioration of Law & order in the state, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today appealed to people to maintain communal harmony to thwart any attempt to create disturbance in Punjab by anti-national elements. In a joint statement issued by AAP’s Spokesman Sukhpal Khaira and Senior leader Major Singh, AAP leaders said that law & order situation in the state has stooped to new low and anarchy is prevailing everywhere in the state, leacing ordinary people worrying for their security. Senior police are acting like Akali Jathedars and that is why Police failed to arrest the killers of Mata Chand Kaur and even people who were behind the sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib are still at large, AAP leaders said adding that where is State Intelligence and why it could not get any clue of fierce attack on the RSS leader Brigadier Jagdish Gagneja? Major Singh said that although Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal had handed over probe into the sacrilege incidents to CBI, but the central agency failed to take any concrete steps to take this probe to any logical conclusion. Khaira said that SAD-BJP always adopted politics of division and now also conspiring to create communal tension in the state to attempt diversion of attention of the people from key issues of Punjab.
