DC Kathua takes stock of facilities at Nari Niketan

District development commissioner Kathua Ramesh Kumar today visited Nari Niketan Kathua and took stock of   facilities being provided to the inmates.He aslo distributed school uniform and bags among the inmates provided by M/S Satyam Cements under corporate social responsibility(CSR).Speaking on the occasion, the DDC informed that district administration has taken various steps to provide best possible care as well as educational opportunities to the inmates. 

The DC asked the inmates to work hard to excel in studies and other endeavours of life.Earlier, he interacted with the inmates and enquired about the facilities being provided by the authorities. He visited different wards and inspected kitchen and store.Responding to the demand of inmates, the DC directed District Social Welfare Officer to take up repair of bathroom and ensure regular water supply to the Nari Niketan. He also directed for repair of windows  and provision of  books and shoes to the student inmates.General Manager DIC Kathua, M Y. Malik also accompanied the DC.
