Arrangements for the Independence Day celebrations were finalized at Baramulla today during a meeting with Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Dr. Nasir Ahmad Naqash in chair.During the meeting, thorough discussion regarding the seating arrangements, presentation of cultural programmes, Parade Presentation, award Presentation, etc was held. It was given out that in the district, the main function will be held at District Headquarters Baramulla.It was given out that various Cultural programmes and special variety programmes will be presented by students from various schools, besides participants from Information Department and Cultural academy. Meanwhile, committees have been constituted to look after different types of arrangements, like seating arrangements, refreshment, etc.
The meeting was also informed that awards will be also distributed among persons with remarkable contributions in various fields. Speaking on this occasion, Deputy Commissioner while impressing upon the officers to show coordination and cooperation, stressed upon that the committees already formulated will re-check all the arrangements put in place. He also directed the Officers of R & B, PHE, PDD and other departments to nominate Nodal Officers for ensuring that all necessary arrangements related to the Independence Day celebration are completed efficiently.Additional Deputy Commissioner, Bashir Ahmad Khan, SSP Baramulla, Mir Imtiyaz Hussain, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Education Officer, Officers from Police and Army, all district and Sectoral officers were present during the Meeting.
