Expressing concern over the nocturnal raids of police and arrest spree across the Kashmir valley, Jammu Kashmir National Front chairman and Hurriyat leader, Nayeem Ahmad Khan today appealed common people to hold strong protests as and when police raided any house. Nayeem Ahmad Khan in a statement said that police have spread a reign of terror in all the ten districts of Kashmir, Chinab valley and Pirpanchal areas.Nayeem Ahmad Khan strongly condemned the arresting of youth in Kulgam, Islamabad, Shopian, Pulwama, Srinagar, Baramulla, Kupwara, Bandipora and other districts. “The current regime is hell bent to fill jails by Kashmiri youth who have become politically enough conscious to understand every imperialistic design,” Nayeem Ahmad Khan said. He said that police are using arresting of youth as their sources of income and there are reports that Sopore police are demanding huge ransom money from the parents.

Khan said that India and its local paid agents have spread a reign of terror not only in nook and corner of the valley but Pirpanchal and Chinab valley as well where Muslim community is being particularly harassed.Khan also condemned the role of top officials of the state administration. He said that these officials are trying to be more loyal than the king and if their attitude towards people remained unchanged resistance leadership has no other option than to publicise their names and appeal people to boycott them in their respective localities.Nayeem Ahmad Khan said that these officers of the so called administration must remember that they have to live in this society and it is the common people who can come to their rescue in odd times however if their attitude remains unchanged they will certainly have to face the public wrath.
