Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) chief, G.A. Mir Thursday called on Congress President Sonia Gandhi at her residence 10. Janpath, in New Delhi and briefed her about the current unrest prevailing in the Valley.In a statement issued to KNS, both the leaders discussed the socio political scenario obtaining in the State, besides many issues of public importance also came under discussion.Mir also apprised Gandhi about the losses caused in the backdrop of the protests in the Valley.While expressing anguish over the loss of lives and grievous injuries caused to people, Gandhi appealed the people to shun the path of confrontation and maintain calm.
