The struggle of the Kashmiri people will continue till the freedom of Jammu & Kashmir from the cruel clutches of India.Chairman Hurriyat (G) Syed Ali Geelani today said that the freedom struggle of the Jammu & Kashmir doesn’t belongs to any particular section or the sect but it is a joint movement of the all the people of this disputed region. In a statement issued to KNS, he said that our peaceful programs are being dealt with extreme force and pressure by the occupational forces and they themselves vitiate the peaceful atmosphere in the state and then accuse the pro-freedom leadership and the youths of Kashmir of subverting the peace. The pro-freedom leader expressed these views while he was leaving for Kulgam to honor the ‘Kulgam Challo’ call but he was immediately arrested by the large contingent of police who are already present there to stop him from moving out of his residence. While addressing the media persons on the occasion, Syed Ali Geelani said that the region of Jammu & Kashmir is presenting a view of a major prison where people are suffocating and suffering at the hands of the Indian forces and the police. He said that the hollow democratic claims of India stands completely exposed in Kashmir where the government forces have been deployed to suppress every such voice or concern which is raised for the interest of the people of the state.

Geelani sahab said that today I was scheduled to visit the Kulgam district just to lead a peaceful march to pay homage to the innocent martyrs but the state administration as usual used force to stop me from visiting there. While condemned in strong words the undemocratic actions of the government, the pro-freedom leader said that to hide its atrocities and the state terrorism in Kashmir, India is making the unsuccessful attempts to link the peaceful and indigenous struggle of the Kashmiris with the Pakistan and terrorism.Syed Ali Geelani said that the India is using the policy of “accuse and kill” in Kashmir because he knows that the Jammu & Kashmir is slipping from its hands. The wicked policies of India have now got exposed on the international levels and the voices are now rising from everywhere in the world in support of the Kashmir and against the barbarism of Indian forces in the region. The concerns are being shown on the international levels that if the Kashmir dispute is not resolved soon in the near future, it will trigger a destructive war in the South Asian region.Hurriyat (G) Chairman in his address once again appealed the people to remain vigilant against the pro-Indian people who are always looking for a chance to give communal color to our sacred freedom struggle. Don’t let them to hijack the mission of our martyrs in any way and keep a strict watch over those elements in the society.

Syed Ali Geelani said that the right to freedom is every bodies right in Jammu & Kashmir and the participation of every section of the society and the sect will send a message across India and the world that Kashmir is not the any communal issue nor is it any border issue between India and Pakistan. It is the fight for freedom equally for the Muslims, Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists and Christens of the state. Syed Ali Geelani appealed the brave heart youths of Kashmir particularly from Tral and its adjoining areas to remain vigilant and don’t let any such conspiracy to succeed which is aimed to vitiate the atmosphere of communal brotherhood. While reiterating his appeal to the people to strictly follow the joint program of the pro-freedom leadership, Syed Ali Geelani said that the dozens of Indian secret agencies are employed here to sabotage our freedom movement by different means. They will spend millions of dollars to buy the peoples sentiments but we have to defeat their plans and carryon the mission of our martyrs.Hurriyat (G) Syed Ali Geelani also expressed his deep sorrow and concerns over the arrests and detention of the youths and said that the prisons and the tortures have neither worried the Kashmiris in the past nor will these tactics succeed in future.
